From crappy to inspired, from bad to brilliant: Collaaage is an overview of recordings made by Weirdomusic - and assorted friends - between 1982 and 1991. Randomly put together for a cassette release in 1991, this collage recording now serves as an introduction to various aspects of Weirdomusic's work.

Happy Elf is the name of multi instrumentalist Jeroen Elfferich's soloproject. He has released 8 albums since 1999. The music of Happy Elf can be labeled as electro, but actually it is much more than that: itÂs pop music made with analogue synthesizers. First Contact is a 4 track cd which gives you an idea of Happy ElfÂs music. The tracks are from the earlier albums Bright Normal Deep and Bingo in the Country. The best of Bob Chaos Recordings 1984-1986. Bob Chaos Records was a cassette-only label out of Muncie, Indiana USA. Between the years 1984-1988 a whopping 15 cassettes were released. With music spanning experimental to rock to just plain strange, "Bob" was way ahead of it's time... or at least in the wrong place at the right time. Instead of letting the tapes deteriorate in a mid-western closet, www.bobchaos.com came out to give the world's weirdos more stuff to listen to. After a...

"An album made out of dutch samples only (i've sampled all 52 Weeks Project tracks, plus thousands of other sources, including stuff curated for me by Jan Turkenburg). Well, as i don't speak dutch, this funny project is a kind of cadavre exquis. As a result, in a song named Zuster (religious sister) you hear the dutch speaking Soeur Sourire say that she has met God one night and that he rescued her with his love, after which you hear the radio-gymnastics teacher say: And pull ... two, four...

Datapanik is a music project of 3 people living in a shared student house in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. All songs are recorded with the use of inexpensive homerecording equipment. Most of the songs are live recordings and are written 'on-the-fly' without any rehearsals or preparations. The essence of Datapanik was having fun in making music in general. 5 cologne-based improv-musicians try to do the impossible: to let go ..! To forget about their 60s to 90s influences as independent music-addicts as they were and try to do their sound. Someone said "Modern Free-Jazz". Someone said "Soundtrack-Scores". Fact is: It`s totally improvised, uncensored, no overdubs. It's done directly on CD. So go ahead and just blow your cool!

Well, I was born in Orleans (the old one) in 1971, learned guitar at 15 but never was a hard worker, smoked at 17 and re-discovered the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix with my first psychedelic group: Wired. After we split, I made my own album where I could do whatever I want. This was Noises In My Head, recorded more than ten years ago. After two more bands were set up and split, I turned to the technical side of the music but I strongly think about making a second one.

When he was 35 René learned the basic chords on guitar, bought a second hand Yamaha QY20 and more songs were made. Still mostly unheard by others. Then he bought a pc and went on the Internet. Take your seat and have another journey into the weird accoustic world of Zloty Dawai. Is it Free Jazz? Is it Noise? The Zloties don’t give a damn. The five guys from Cologne just recorded this one in 4 different takes directly on CD. Totally improvised - no overdubs – no censorship.

The story of how our band came into being is very simple: It all began at a Saturday night live music party in october 2004. It was at that party that I happened to see Samuele again. We hadn't seen each other for a long time. We started to discuss music over a couple of beers and before the party was over we had already made up our minds to form a new band. We weren't long in finding the proper bass-player for the band either. Fabio's an old friend of ours and when we asked him if he would...

"Spheriot is a one-man project - all the music comes from my heart and head and is produced in my livingroom and spare time! There has never been any kind of concept in the music - or any aim to sound like this or that. It just evolves from the songs I have always been writing on my guitar - and my roots as a "producer" in just playing around with my Mac a little. But somehow it developped to a kind of pop-music that I never expected it to be like - even if there is always one or...

Chenard Walcker, a friend of the online music world, is slowly recovering from a diabetic coma. His brother reports that he is not physically suffering. He fell into the coma in September 2006, and is now working on speech development and object differentiation. So many of us have benefited from and enjoy Chenard's work. This is our chance to repay our sweet friend and to send him our love with a tribute release on WM Recordings.

Greg Houwer is a singer-songwriter whose style is firmly rooted in the pop/rock-tradition. He works with loving care from his home studio, where he assembles his songs, hovering somewhere between a state of peaceful tranquility and full blown exuberance. Roads Of Oblivion, a compilation of twelve songs recorded between 2002 and 2007, is a case in point expressing just that range of creativity.

brunk is Bert Vanden Berghe, DIY lowbudget homerecording, without any musical restrictions or stylistic premises. The songs on 'sept 2003' were made somewhere between 2000 and september 2003. It's not easy to describe or to pigeonhole, but I guess the music brunk recorded in those days had a certain pop kitsch factor, a naïeve but eclectic touch, and tries to explore some musical boundaries in a very personal way. There are some hints and twists that point in the direction of the more...
